Re: anyone under 21 sending resumes to regionals? I'd definetely start school and have a life. Those 21yr olds at Regionals with no college will regret it when they end up with all the minimums for a major with no degree. It will be hard to hit the books again, trust me. For the 21 yr olds WITH the degree I say GOOD job, especially one in a non-aviation field.
There are so many different paths that it really doesn't matter how old you are. I'm 21 and am only about half way through instrument training with 1 yr left for a BA in Business. I'll be 22, maybe 23 when I graduate with, I hope a Commercial license and a few Part 91 King Air gigs awaiting me. Skip those darn Regionals! It's who you know in this business.
You can be 30 yrs old, go to ATP for 3 months, instruct for a year and meet Regional req'ts in a little over a year. Do the time and log the PIC, do some networking and make it to a major before 40 and retire at 60. All while having a life. What more does one need?
