Re: anyone under 21 sending resumes to regionals? if you have some major flight time, wow them in an interview, or have some really good connections, it is very difficult. At Colgan there are a *few*- very few that are under 21. They were either in the right place at the right time, or had already built an exceptional background. Keep in mind that when a company looks at you, they want to see a mature, respectable adult for them to invest their money in. Training for the right seat can cost quite a bit of money (sim time, hotel, travel, paying you while you train).
Anyhow, thats my experience when talking to my fellow coworkers.
As far as the written goes, 21 is the limit, but once you are hired by a 121 carrier it does not expire for 5 years (I'm not sure if this is correct, something like that).
