That overrun at the west end wasn't there back in the day. Not a bad idea. I think I was about as high as in your pic, landing to the west, but it was in a Mouse. That plane was a 63 Beech Musketeer that actually had a mouse painted on the tail. I sold it to a Judge and have seen it parked at Auburn a few times. In some ways, that was the best plane I ever owned.
