Sure, just read the "lost communications" thread. I made a fool of myself grande style. It happens. What's the worst that happened? I learned some things, other people probably learned some things, and perhaps a few people that I don't even know now think I'm a moron. Big deal!

I've never failed a checkride for a certificate, been a flight instructor under both part 61 and 141, passed 1 121 SIC checkride, 1 135 SIC checkride, and numerous 135 PIC checkrides all on the first try, but apparently I didn't know something as basic as lost communication procedures as well as I thought I did (and apparently the FAA inspectors/DE's/check airmen who may have asked that particular question didn't either).

It's cliche, but you can never stop learning- especially in this business.
