My understanding, and this comes from hearing about it at Mesa and the MAPD stuff, is that you can use SIC time toward the 250 PIC requirement provided certain conditions are met. MAPD grads, with 200TT, don't have any problem upgrading when the time comes, provided they are old enough.
EDIT: Just looked it up. Something about SIC hours while performing the duties of a PIC...whatever that means

I'm wondering how this gets applied...it sure would save some of those gulfstream guys a boatload of $$ ...
