Coldest this winter was -8F with a wind chill of -36F. We have "Frozen" 2 airplanes so far this winter that sat overnight. In that weather it takes 10 minutes to dress and another 10 minutes to undress, so if the planes are less than 20 minutes apart you are better off staying out side, but out of the wind, so you dont sweat too much.

Get your self a good hat, scarf, ski goggles, gloves and boots and you will be fine with a bunch of layers elsewere. Remember you get what you pay for, dont go to wally world for those items. At our station on the cold days, the only requirement for the ramp uniform is warm. None of this black or dark bule pants with a Comair jacket. Give me my tan Carhartt insulated overalls anyday over trying to look official.

Today it hit 44 with some killer wind and rain. It is going to snap back to very cold tomorrow.
