At my old company, the whole crew went down to the hotel bar in our uniform slacks and undershirts (all male crew). This was because we were so livid that they took our crew bags off the airplane without us knowing, then we got stuck at the outstation. We had no other clothes... I consider that medicinal at that point.
I wear my uniform to commute, but that's just because it's so much easier that way. Seems like 90% of our pilots do that on my commute run.
