Just to clarify, this will be our second child. Our first was (is !) a boy - Cameron - who will be 6 in February. So, yes, I've already been through one round of sleep deprivation, and I think I'm more prepared for the next.
After all, kids don't come with operating manuals. (Nor can you deactivate them and placard them as inoperative when you want them to be quiet for a while!
