Default working in Switzerland?

there is a job offer on a major US aviation job site that is for B727 pilots based in Zurich, Switzerland.

it lists in its requirements that the applicant must have a ICAO ATPL.

...it doenst say anything about a JAR ATP.

I thought to work in EU member countries you need to have a JAR license if the aircraft owner/lessee/employer/whatever is based/registered in a EU country.

The ad says that it is registered in the "Middle East".

hrmmm
