To tell ya how crazy ORD can be, One nite we were given instructions from terminal E, down taxiway T, and then on taxiway Y (look at the diagram above at the appr end of 14R). This takes you through all the hangars etc. They had run out of places to put airplanes in the line, so we and about 5 others got sent this way, Only to end up in a holding area at the end of the maze of Y, to shutdown both engines. As a bonus, just as you're entering Y, youll notice (only if you're paying close attention) a STOP light. and then an obscure sign that says to call 123.45 for gate control. And its basically just a road that had a traffic light for cars and airplanes, there are 2 of these. It was all kinda fun!
