Brian, I just reread this thread tonight ... the Luftwaffe still trains its F-4 crews in the USA at Holloman AFB (?) at least they did until very recently.

The 20th Fighter Squadron, German F-4 training, closed it's doors last January, with the last jet leaving Holloman last February. I went to the last squadron party there.
