Babies love mirrors. They're very vain little creatures! As for the sling, they're pretty secure. That clasp is tough. I've only used my sling once or twice, I prefer the Snugli when I have to use one. I'm not a big fan of baby-wearing. When I'm trying to do dishes or laundry or clean it's really hard to do with a baby hanging out in front of me. Some people, however, swear by the sling. They say it's the best thing to ever happen to them & they don't carry their baby any other way. So give it a try, it may work for you, it may not.
