I'll give the nod if I make eye contact with someone, but beyond that, you'll feel like Miss America at the Macy's day Xmas parade if you're going to wave at crews in some cities.

Plus it saves this embarassing exchange which happens very often in the pilot lounge:

"Hey Doug, how ya been?"

"Good!"

"How's the commute?"

"Good!"

"Gotta run, see ya!"

"Goo...umm, see ya!" (who the HECK was that?!)
