Amen to that! I came to EWR with the idea of base transferring to IAH. After a few months I discovered that I LOVE flying in the northeast. You could not pay me to be CLE based and the summers are too hot for me in Houston...I'm a 4 seasons kind of guy. Although I'm obviously biased, EWR crews seem to be a lot more laid back...not to mention we smile and wave to our fellow pilots in the terminal. I make a point to say hello or give the head nod to every crew I pass in IAH for the sole reason that they NEVER respond. Head down, walk staight I think is their motto! Perhaps I intimidate them with my good looks...or not.
