Bag Falls From Cargo Plane, Lands On Sunnyvale Golf Course
Apr. 11 (ABC7) — There was a close-call for some golfers in Sunnyvale this Monday afternoon. A bag accidentally fell out of a cargo plane operated by the California Air National Guard and landed on the 16th fairway at the Sunnyvale Golf Course.
A pararescue team was practicing dropping off supplies when officials say the winds shifted and a 30 pound bag flew off a ramp out of the back of the plane.
Several people were golfing nearby, but fortunately no one was hurt.
The intended target was a mile-and-a-half away on Moffett Field.
