Wow. Thanks, everyone, for the input. As an update, I have decided to press forward with my flying. I'm currently working on a commercial certificate. The way my wife and I see it, our son will witness his dad pursuing a lifelong dream of achieving a career as a pilot and overcoming all the obstacles. I think every child should learn that intestinal fortitude is the way things are accomplished. Hey, thanks again.
