Unless the school requires it, try to avoid buying a "kit." You can find pretty much the same stuff on e-bay for a lot less.

Those hour figures are probably pretty close. You can shave some $$ off by finding a buddy, though. You need 40 hours of "hood time," and that doesn't HAVE to be with an instructor. Throw in some x/c time with your buddy, and you kill two birds with one stone.
Everything else looks like it's based on minimum flight times. The CFI stuff really doesn't have a minimum, but 10 hours is about average. Although, I think I'd go NUTS flying a 152 for 120 hours......
