Re: Air Orlando CFI positions open
They're not new, but their equipment is. I worked there as a CFI and it's a class act everyway you look at them. The new owner is down-to-earth businessman that knows what he's doing and keeps his eye on the ball, without ever compromising safety for money (seriously). Squeaky clean is the best way to describe their operation.
Pay is below average for CFI's, but they've got a LOT of overhead. New 182's with glass and DA-40's with glass, as well as several SR22's, one owned by a major airline COO.
Put it this way - I gladly drove an extra 30 minutes each way to work there verses driving 5 minutes down the street to work at Avion (not that I ever tried to work there). If I was still in FL I'd still be there.
Keep in mind Air Orlando Sales, Air Orlando Charter, and Air Orlando Aviation (the airplane and helicopter school) are all owned and operated independenty. They used to be one big company but were split up years ago.
