On one hand, I would say that if the captain is comfortable, I would probably continue on. I would not be too upset if he did not "keep me in the loop" as long as he explained to me how he came to his decision.
But then on the other hand, do you really fell that unsafe about continuing or is it more being upset with how the captain came to his decision.
One would have to ask themselves, what is more important, a possible bad review or their not feeling completely comfortable with continuing.
