Re: Blustery Day!
I was out flying on friday and saturday in a 172 doing approaches in KCDC and KMLF I swear my buddy took a picture of it on his cell phone GS on the garmin was 170 knots and the DME as 171kts heading north on V235 to MLF from CDC I was setting up for the approach into KMLF we did a circle to land with wind gusting around 40 knots but it was down the runway however going back to CDC took some time I ended up doing slow flight backwards at one point. I did have to land back in SGU and it wasnt to bad when I landed only 40 degrees off the centerline around 20 kts gusting around 29kts. I have watched Skywest and Lifeflight nail there landings at SGU with 90 degrees off centerline and about 40 knots of wind those guys are good!
