But because the 208 is less than 12,500, you wouldn't need a type rating in it to even act as PIC. I guess that means you could act as PF sometimes.

Part 121, says single engine aircraft are prohibited from 121ops.

As someone mentioned earlier, the Caravan and PC-12 are exempt from that rule.
