There's no looming pilot shortage.

Not to play "Union Talking Head" but there was an agreement made to alleviate the effects on the schedule of early retirements and there is an agreement in place.

Our beloved CEO wants a broader agreement and told a reporter that if we're not able to 'see it his way', the resulting scheduling difficulties unless we agree to his flavor of schedule relief for the early retirements could devastate the schedule and the airline.

DCA's spinning this for their own benefit with a twist of Kit Darby-esque verbiage.

We had a crapload of pilots retire a few months ago and there has been one flight cancellation due to lack of available crews.
