Re: Commercial Training Delay [ QUOTE ]
Well yesterday my CFI at IB9 called me and toll me someone
had a bad landing on the arrow and screw up the landing gear and that it was going to take a day or two to get it fix.
Today he called me and toll me that the aircraft is severely damage and that it will take 3 to 4 weeks to get it fix.
That's if the owner decides to fix it.
It sucks because that the only complex aircraft they have and that's the only 141 school in the area. I actually commute about 70 miles to train there and now this happens.
Does anyone knows of another flight school in the boston area that offers 141 training?
I don't want to do part 61 it will take to much money and to much time.
I don't know what's going to happen, I just want to keep my options open.
thanks

Sorry to hear about your delay. Just a word of caution if you're looking at other 141 schools. 141 regs say that if you transfer schools, the new school can only credit you with up to 50% of their course requirements using the training that you received at your old 141 school. That might add more time and money than just transferring to a 61 school.
Hopefully the flight school will get the Arrow fixed. There are incentives for the guy to do it. If he dumps the Arrow without replacing it, then he loses the ability to teach Commercial Pilots under 141.
Just my $0.02
