I've gotten the same thing for a bravo clearance as we're headed right toward it on vectors for a practice instrument approach:

Me: "Uh, verify we're cleared into the bravo...?"
ATC: "Affirmative."

Ok, then. I guess we don't need to hear the words "cleared into the bravo" as I was taught.
