I have to echo everyone else's choice on the matter. There is no danger in informing the crew of what happened...there potentially could be by not telling them. So, what's the harm in doing so?

I think if you witnessed something there is a duty to report it, even if it might be minor. You'd hate to hear that something happened to the flight and know you could have given them a warning.
